What's in a Name?

Proverbs 4:23 tells us "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."  As we, my amazing husband and I, began really seeking why we have chosen this life, homeschooling, rural living, self-sufficiency, we found this verse.  It really came out of a desire to create a name for our Homeschool.  This verse explains why we homeschool, to teach our children to Guard their Hearts, and led us to the name of our school, Guardians Training Academy.  As we began to ponder a name for our "farm" we chose to pull from this same theme.  After all, the farm is really to help us further the desire to train our children and bring them up learning to Guard their Hearts and to love the created world around them.  We are on a journey.  Not toward perfection, but a journey to enjoy this life with our children and make the most of the time we have with them, teaching them that they can be self sufficient.
